Meng Wanzhou Recounts Horrifying Experience During House-Arrest When Uber Eats Driver Couldn’t Find Her Mansion
Shenzhen - After over 1,000 days trapped inside one of her multiple properties, the Huawei executive has finally been released back to China.
Upon landing, girl boss Meng Wanzhou told onlooking crowds the harrowing experience she went through while hopping around between her multiple British Columbia properties since her arrest in 2018.
“You have no idea the horrors I experienced while trapped in one of the world’s most temperate climates,” the billionaire said, “There was even one evening when my Uber Eats driver couldn’t find my estate because the lights on my 10 foot gates went it. It was truly an experience I will never get over.”
The telecom executive was released in exchange for Canadians Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor, who were arrested just days after Wanzhou and have been held in Chinese prison since. The Michaels, having stepped on Canadian soil for the first time since 2018, tell The Harold they’re excited to cheer on their favourite Raptor Kyle Lowry.
