Ottawa Horse Currently On Paid Leave Pending SIU Investigation
Ottawa - Following an incident during the dismantling of the ‘Freedom Convoy’ this weekend, an Ottawa Police horse has been put on paid leave pending an on-going internal investigation.
The horse officer in question is being accused of assaulting a member of the occupation who received multiple warning to leave before hurling herself at the officer’s hooves as he passed by.
The Ottawa Police Service have announced that Sergeant Sugartooth, a 6 year veteran on the force, is taking time at home with his family to reflect and recover from the incident, and is expected to return to allowing occupiers to do whatever they want following the SIU investigation.
