Top Ontario Politicians Unwind With Round Of Golf After Stressful First Weekend Of Shutdown

Oakville - Following a weekend filled with absolutely nothing changing, Ontario’s leaders got together for a leisurely round of golf on one of the many courses that was allowed to remain open during the third province-wide lockdown.
Premier Ford, along with ministers Christine Elliot and Stephen Lecce and Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer/human Muppet Dave Williams, were spotted playing 18 rounds at the Royal Oaks Golf Club, which was of course permitted to remain open since it’s a well-known fact COVID doesn’t spread through activities conservatives enjoy.
“This weekend has been a tough one for Ontarians,” said Deputy Premier Elliot, “I can only imagine the immense stress restaurant owners are under. The best advise I have to give those poor owners who haven’t been able to pay their rent in a month is to play a round of golf at your local country club. It really helps with relieving stress.”
But it wasn’t just members of the Progressive Conservative party out on the green. Opposition Leader Andrea Horwath was also spotted teeing up on the links.
“You probably forgot I even existed,” Horwath tells us, “Oh man, have I had a stressful year. You think it’s boring sitting at home doing nothing? Well I’ve been doing nothing but still have to commute into work every day! Talk about stress!”
After their round, the four conservative leaders and Horwath all piled into Doug’s F-150 and headed up north to the Ford family cottage.
