“But Babe, Apples Have Always Been $5 Each And You Loved Paying That Much,” States Galen Weston In New PR Approach

Food - A slew of new Loblaw’s campaigns are taking an approach that the company’s president has referred to as “gaslighting”.

“Here at Loblaws, the food has always been wildly overpriced and you’re literally making it up if you think otherwise,” Weston says into the camera, “I feel like I’M the crazy one the way you’re all talking lately.”

Weston then goes on to state all those planning to boycott the company next month are refusing to acknowledge his personal boundaries, and that everyone’s obsession with affordable food is really coming off as clingy.

The company says they plan to air the commercials until everyone in Canada finally acknowledges that they are the wrong ones and admit they really hurt Weston.
