Ontario Reinstates “Clapping For Medical Workers” As Substitution For Not Vaccinating Them

Toronto - As Ontario continues to be unable to properly vaccinate those in health care and other essential workers, the Premier’s office announced a new initiative today as a replacement for vaccines.

“Medical folks, I understand how frustrating it must be going to work every day with no vaccination in sight,” Premier Ford announced, “But I have some very exciting news! We are going to begin forcing every Ontarian to start clapping for you on your way home from work like we did last year!”

The Premier went into details of the new initiative, along with the consequences for those caught not clapping for all the frontline workers.

“If you’re caught not clapping or banging pots and pans whenever you see an essential workers you will face fines up to $10,000. This is entirely on you, the people of Ontario, to make these workers feel good and distract them from the fact they won’t get vaccinated until January 2022.”

Ford continued, “And folks, trust me, I’ve got my best people enforcing this. The same officers who have been in charge of fining people at anti-lockdown rallies, ensuring restaurants in Woodbridge don’t surpass capacity, and arresting Chris Sky will be enforcing this new policy.”

Nurses, PSWs and Yorkdale mall employees can all expect the new fanfare on their commute home starting tonight.
