City Proudly Declares Alexandra Park Pool “Mostly Bandaid Free”

Bathurst - After nearly five years of work, the City of Toronto announced today that the public pool located at Bathurst and Dundas is now almost entirely free of loose babdaids. Mayor John Tory made the announcement early Thursday morning, congratulating all the workers who have been tirelessly spending 12 hour overnight shifts picking bandaids out of the water by hand. The pool had previously closed for the 2019 season to remove several bandaids that had become trapped in the filter, taking workers the entire summer to get them all out. Tory says that thanks to the hard work of city employees, the popular west end pool is expected to remain free of the adhesive bandages until at least this weekend.
