MLSE Strongly Recommends Leafs Fans Continue To Wear Paper Bag Over Their Face

Sports - Following along with provincial health guidelines, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment said face masks will be optional for attendees as of March 21 though they will “strongly encourage” Leafs fans to continue covering their face with paper bags.

“It is important for us to value the health of our fans, both physical and mental,” MLSE said in a statement, “Although face coverings are no longer required by the province as of March 21, we strongly encourage Leafs fans to continue hiding their identity to avoid further embarrassment.”

MLSE recommends a ULine S-7098 series paper bag for optimal identity protection, though a reusable cloth bag also provides substantial protection.

Though the team has been on an upward trend as of late, many sports experts say to look at the team’s past track record and wait until at least the semi-finals before ending mask mandates.
