Canada’s Recovery Benefit Decreases By $200 But Will Now Include Reference Letter From Trudeau

Ottawa - Though the Canadian government will be reducing unemployment benefits for those affected by COVID-related shutdowns, they still haven’t abandoned you entirely as they announced today you can now use Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as a reference on your next job application.
“My friends, this is an exciting new change for all Canadians,” stated Trudeau, “Though we will be taking away your money, I will be providing each one of you with a personalized reference letter signed by me to let your next potential employer know what a good little citizen you are.”
Though many sectors of the country’s workforce still remain closed due to lockdown regulations, Trudeau reaffirmed that there were now lots of jobs to be had.
“I understand you devoted the entirety of your 20’s to becoming a tattoo artist and you are still unable to return to work. But have you ever considered that being a food runner at Boston Pizza was your true calling? I can come with you to apply if that helps,” said Trudeau.
Although he’s happy to provide a reference over the phone, Trudeau did ask your potential employer not call him while he’s in court suing native people.
