City Rejects Sankofa Square In Favour Of “Dead Raccoon Memorial Square” For Yonge And Dundas

Toronto - Toronto’s city council voted early Monday morning to officially change the name of the space at Yonge and Dundas after the city’s beloved raccoon who tragically passed in 2015. The decision will cement the trash panda in the city’s history forever after authorities initially tore down the memorial that was put up following the raccoon’s passing nine years ago.
