Toronto - After the Ontario government announced this week that schools would not be resuming until the fall, 12th Grade Class President Doug Ford stated that despite schools remaining closed prom is still going to happen!
During a press conference held in the parking lot behind Etobicoke Collegiate Institute, Ford declared that schools were allowed to host outdoor graduation and prom ceremonies, which would be followed by the craziest afterparty he was hosting at his parent’s cottage. Fordstock 2021
“These teachers can’t tell us what to do,” shouted Ford from the roof of his ’82 Camaro, “And after prom, you’re all invited to come to my camping afterparty which I’m calling Fordstock 2021! It’s gonna be the sickest prom ever!”
Many Ontario teachers have pointed out the hypocrisy and logistical issues with outdoor graduation ceremonies. However, Ford stated that as class president, he would be invoking the “Principal for a Day” clause which has been in place since 1996.
