TTC Announces Closure Of Every Subway Station This Weekend

Toronto - Make sure to adjust your travel plans this weekend if you rely on the subway, as the TTC has announced they will be closing every subway station this coming weekend. The TTC says closure will affect every subway line, and will also delay the autumn opening of Line 5 by another year.

The closures are part of the transit commission’s yearly inspection of garbage can placement, to ensure every station has fair and equal numbers of garbage and recycling bins for riders. Trains will continue to operate, however, so those who live near Rosedale station can watch the trains pass by all weekend.
