Invasive Giant Sea Turtles Have Taken Over Lake Ontario Because Sure, Why Not

Toronto - If you’re anywhere near Lake Ontario you may notice an unwanted critter swimming in the waters as 6 foot long sea turtles have now completely taken over the lake, we guess.

Yup that’s right, the endangered marine giants have decided to call the great lakes home as thousands of them have been spotted swimming in the Toronto harbour. Why? Not sure.

The turtles are expected to probably wreak havoc on the environment, maybe by eating all the food or damaging the beaches to lay their thousands upon thousands of eggs. They’re also, like, really big so will probably tip over those dumb row boats out near Sunnyside beach.

Local marine scientists say there’s not much to do about all the turtles. No one knows where they came from, why there are so many, and how they are surviving in fresh water. They are advising to just accept the fact the turtles are here and learn to live with the new reality.
