Ottawa - Following multiple policy announcements at the COP26 climate summit in Scotland, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced Canada’s latest plan which will involve banning climate change entirely within the next decade.

Canada has previously promised to halt gas and oil subsidies, stop the sales of gas powered vehicles, and reduce oil pollution to net zero by 2050. After some climate experts said this was not enough, Trudeau unveiled his new plan to just make climate change illegal.

“My fellow Canadians, we are dealing with a climate emergency and we must act now,” stated Trudeau, “Under my government’s leadership, we will be the first country in the world to make climate change illegal by the end of the decade.”

Although the banning of climate change seems to be somewhat vague and unclear, the Prime Minister promises it will be the first and only law of its kind.

“Friends let me assure you, Canada is definitely going to be on the right side of history this time,” Trudeau continued.

When pressed as to what exactly “banning” climate change would look like, Trudeau responded, “Oh, you know, there’ll be no more climate change. Um, water bottles, we’ll start there. And women. Lots of women. Um… Any further questions?”

Trudeau said he was also working very closely with Dr Tam to investigate if vaccinating the atmosphere would do anything to combat climate change.
