Court Orders Rogers Family To Settle Dispute Over Round Of ‘Family Feud Canada’
Vancouver - Talk about a real life family feud!
Following a ruling from a B.C. court that sided with Edward Rogers in the on-going dispute, the Supreme Court of Canada has now stepped in and overturned the decision. Instead, the Supreme Court will be forcing the two warring factions to settle the fate of the media empire over a match of CBC’s hit show ‘Family Feud Canada’.
“In matters where so much is at stake, we can’t simply let one court ruling decide the fate of Canada’s worst performing company of the 2010’s,” the Supreme Court stated, “So by citing an old Canadian law wherein family disputes must be settled by duel, we’ll be pitting the two family’s against each other to battle it out on live television!”
Loretta, Martha and Melinda Rogers will square off against Edward and his newly appointed board of directors, answering survey questions about how Canadians feel. Some of the survey questions will reportedly include “Name a way we could redistribute the wealth of billionaires” and “How much money is too much money for one family to have?”
Host Gerry Dee expressed his excitement over the upcoming episode. “It’s usually just two families from Markham duking it out over a Toyota Corolla. So to be playing for a multi-billion dollar corporation is pretty neat! I’ll probably only have two Michelob Ultras before filming this episode!”
Tune in this Friday at 8pm EST on CBC to watch it live, or catch it later on CBC Gem.
