Toronto Mayor To Be Granted Power To Do Whatever Doug Ford Tells Him To Do

Toronto - As part of the “Strong Mayors” Act, the municipal leaders of both Toronto and Ottawa will soon be granted heightened powers to do exactly as Doug Ford tells them. The mayors of these two major cites will soon be able to veto any decision made by city council if they feel that decision goes against Doug Ford’s interest. The mayors will also have the ability to appoint department heads and chairs at their discretion, so long as they come from Ford’s pre approved list of “cool guys”. The most significant change is the mayors will now be invited to the Ford family cottage for the annual Labour Day BBQ. Ford, who once eliminated 50% of Toronto city council, says that with the new extra strong mayors he should be able to eliminate the rest of council by the end of the year.
