Under Sovereignty Act, Alberta Has Appointed A Truck As New Head Of State
Edmonton - After passing the Sovereignty Act this week, which gives the provincial government sweeping power to rewrite laws outside the legislature process, Premier Danielle Smith says her government has now rejected the elected federal government in Ottawa and have appointed a Ford F-350 Super Duty truck as Alberta’s new head of state.
Smith was quoted earlier this week claiming Ottawa was “not a national government,” and a says this truck better represents Albertan values, citing that it is unnecessarily loud and bad for the environment.
All new laws passed under the Sovereignty Act in Alberta will now require the approval of the F-350, which will honk repeatedly for three minutes to signify a no, and will put up a “Fuck Trudeau” window decal for yes.
