Metrolinx Celebrates Completion Of First 10 Feet Of Eglinton LRT

North York - A milestone achievement has been reached for the long awaited transit line as Metrolinx has officially announced construction has been finished for the first 10 feet of the Eglinton crosstown.

“We are pleased and excited to announce that after a decade of hard work, we have officially installed over 3 metres of rail track,” the company posted on Twitter this morning.

A spokesperson for the company says the milestone achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the team’s endless red tape, perpetual design flaws and hourly Timmies breaks.

Metrolinx says they will be celebrating the milestone by giving the entire team the rest of the summer off.
