Fashion - Wondering how to stay trendy in Toronto this spring/summer season? The Toronto Harold has you covered!
As the temperature creeps upward in Toronto, many of its most fashionable citizens cannot wait to break out their favourite summer wardrobe: frayed jean shorts and a beat up pair of Blundstones. This absolute height of Toronto style is fashionable, functional, and beloved by thousands, especially in Toronto’s west end.
Around the city, even on the warmest days, you can spot this seemingly always in vogue look in a variety of colour palettes; blue homemade cut off jean shorts with grey Blundstones, black rolled jorts paired with the brown version of the boots. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination, and the colour of Blundstones you own.
“It’s the classic Toronto look, my Blundstones flow seamlessly from season to season. I literally never take them off,” says taste-maker Trevor Henderson, “It’s just the perfect look for any occasion, I’m planning on wearing my most tattered jorts and Blundstones to my sister’s beach wedding in July.”
Fashion experts have dubbed this look “Toronto’s summer uniform”. Their advice to complete the look on especially hot days? Throw on a black tank top and expose those pasty, untanned arms to match your legs.
