Toronto 7-Eleven Employees Shocked To Learn That You Can’t Already Drink Alcohol In Its Stores

By Andrew Scott

Toronto - When the news broke late last week that, starting September 5th, the Ford government would let Ontario 7-Eleven locations not only sell alcohol, but allow patrons to drink booze inside of its stores, many employees of the convenience store chain admitted to thinking that such a practice was already permitted.

“Who knew,” commented Steve Williams, a long-time employee of a Toronto-area 7-Eleven store who has long noticed customers drinking openly while shopping for various snacks and munchables.

Stating that the aim of such a decision is to allow 7-Eleven stores to gain a competitive advantage over the Beer Store and LCBO, where, according to Ford, alcohol consumption is not allowed, employees of both the Beer Store and the LCBO could be heard audibly snickering.
