TTC Reminds Riders To Be Respectful And Keep It Down While They’re Being Stabbed
Toronto - The Toronto Transit Commission has released a new campaign reminding riders that shouting for help and screaming in pain while being stabbed aboard a transit vehicle can disturb the commute of other riders.
“Each day, millions of people rely on us to get them where they need to go,” stated TTC vice president Chloe Stroman, “But we’ve recently seen a huge uptick in riders shrieking and bawling after repeatedly getting stabbed, and we want to remind them that loud volume can disrupt not only other riders, but our drivers as well.”
Posters have been put up along subway stations and streetcar stops encouraging riders who are stabbed onboard to keep it to themselves or exit the vehicle before screaming for help.
