Toronto Is Letting You Hang Glide From The Top Of The CN Tower To Hamilton

Toronto - You’ll soon be able to cross Lake Ontario in record times when a new program launches that will allow you to jump off the CN Tower and glide to Hamilton and Niagara Falls.

Starting next spring, Metrolinx will launch their GlideTO program. Travelling alone or with groups of up to four, passengers will be hurled from the top of the iconic structure and will gently glide across the great lake to their destination. Travellers will feel the wind in their face while staring into the deep, black abyss of one of the biggest bodies of water.

“We are helping commuters get to their destination quicker and in a more environmentally conscious way,” stated Metrolinx, “The hang glider program is quicker than any GO train or bus, and the pilot project that started last month has resulted in close to zero drownings.”

Passengers will be responsible for steering their hang glider to their destination, and Metrolinx suggests that if you don’t know how to get to Hamilton once you’re in the sky to just follow the smell.

Trips start at $79, and the program will offer monthly memberships for just $399. Passengers will receive $5 off each ticket if they provide their own hang glider.
