John Tory Slides Crumpled Up Pieces Of Paper Asking If He Should Stay On As Mayor To Every Resident

Toronto - The mayor’s office says they have slid millions of pieces of rules paper under the doors of city residents, all handwritten by story himself, asking Torontonians to vote on whether or not the mayor should in fact resign.

Tory announced on Friday that he would be stepping down following an extramarital affair with a staffer. He then said yesterday he would stay on until the budget was approved, and now says his decision will be made the democratic way by asking residents whether or not they like him.

“I personally don’t care what my politicians do in their personal lives as long as it’s consensual. I’m just not sure what I’m supposed to do with this once I check off my answer,” one resident of the Annex neighbourhood tells us.

Tory says he will make his final decision on Friday, unless he doesn’t like the results of the poll in which case he will resend new notes stating “Do you REALLY REALLY think I should step down?”
