Toronto Man Wonders If Risk Of Being Mowed Down By Car Still Outweighs Risk Of Contracting Covid

Toronto - As CafeTO patios begin popping up across the city, one fully vaccinated resident who recovered from Covid last month is starting to question if drinking a beer 8 inches away from traffic protected by just a pylon is actually a good idea.

“Sure, two years ago the idea of doing anything that didn’t involve staring at my walls seemed like a good idea,” says Jose Santos, 33, “Now I’m not totally convinced that the possibility of being hit by a speeding truck and spending months in the hospital is worth it to pay $11 for an Ace Hill.”

Curb-side patios will be popping up all across the city this summer and will be enjoyed by everyone who forgot to make reservations for the dining room.
