Federal Government Says Latest ArriveCAN App Update Will Include Direct Messaging Feature

Ottawa - In their latest effort to stay relevant for some reason, the Canadian government has stated their controversial ArriveCAN app will not be going anywhere and they will rolling out new updates for it including a direct messaging feature later this month.

The app update will allow users to contact border agents directly to ensure all their customs paperwork is in order before boarding their flight. They can also contact other users of the app to ask for restaurant recommendations in the international city they are visiting.

The feds say the new feature is just the first of many they plan to add to the app, and will let users upload travel photos for others to view by the end of the year. They also have plans to add a dating component by early 2023.
