Planes Landing At Pearson Will Now Allow Passengers To Parachute Out Over The City To Avoid Airport Wait Times

Mississauga - To help ease congestion at Toronto’s busiest airport, a new rule has been made that will allow passengers on any incoming plane to jump out over the city and parachute to their destination instead of landing at Pearson. The airport says that allowing passengers to parachute out before arrival will not only alleviate work for airport employees, but also help passengers get to their destination quicker.

All incoming planes have now been instructed to circle the city’s downtown core before landing. Flight attendants will help to direct those jumping out towards the nearest subway station. Parachuters will be required to jump out with their luggage.

Major airlines were quick to implement this rule, with Air Canada stating passengers can purchase a parachute from them for $300, or can bring their own parachute for an additional fee of $400.

Passengers parachuting out from international flights are asked to email their customs declaration to a border agent, and include in the email if they are a criminal or have any exotic plants with them.
