Doug Ford Unveils Plans To Build Affordable Housing Community In Giant Pothole On Lawrence Avenue

By Andrew Scott

York - Speaking to reporters Thursday, Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced imminent plans to begin building affordable housing projects in potholes, road craters and highway divots throughout the city of Toronto.

“Folks,” began Ford, giving his trademark, “thumbs up” to the cameras, “The opportunity for home ownership in one of Canada’s most expensive cities was a dream that for many felt out of reach…until now.”

Beginning with a thirty-unit housing complex to be built in a pothole near the intersection of Lawrence and Marlee Avenue, Ford acknowledges that this construction opportunity will be a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) and that the province’s “Ontario Tenders Portal” will be open to bids from Russian oligarchs and everyday citizens alike as early as next week.
