Mens 25+ Intramural Dodgeball League Has Paused Season
Sports - The “Downtown Toronto Mens 25+ Intramural Dodgeball League” has announced they will be postponing all upcoming games due to the threat of the Omicron variant. The DTM25IDL released the following statement on social media:
We have made the very tough, but necessary, decision to temporarily postpone all upcoming adult men’s dodgeball games.
With the rapidly spreading Omicron variant, we can not risk endangering the ten’s of fiancés and girlfriends forced to attend our matches each week.
This break in the season will start immediately and will include tonight’s first quarter final match between the Bay Street Wolves and the Parkdale Predators.
Games are set to resume January 14, or possibly earlier if Mark’s vacation to the Dominican gets cancelled.
As well, we regret to inform our fans that the Leslieville Vipers are all currently self-isolating after a team member tested positive for the virus. The team member, Taylor Forester, who initially was not invited back to the team for his anti-vaxx stance, had been practicing with the team after signing a part-time contract to play with the team in January’s tournament in Saskatoon.
We thank you for your understanding, and look forward to welcoming you all back to the Central Tech gymnasium in 2022.
