Ontario Calls On Firefighters, Dentists, Home-Ec Teachers, Soccer Coaches And Anyone With A Positive Attitude To Administer Booster Shots

Toronto - In order to help accelerate Ontario’s booster roll-out, the province is calling on anyone with first aid training, or the confidence that they could pass a first aid course if they took one, to help administer shots.

“It’s not that hard to do,” Health Minister Christine Elliot said, “If you can use a Slap-Chop, you can administer a vaccine. It’s the exact same idea.”

She then offered to give shots to the ten assembled members of the media and only missed the vein on four of them.

Anyone with “average to good” hand-eye coordination is being asked to head to their closest vaccine centre.
