Doug Ford Offers To Throw Union Workers A Pizza Party If They Return To School

Queen’s Park - As Ontario schools remain closed for a second day following the CUPE union strike, Premier Doug Ford announced today in a press conference that if the union workers return his government is willing to throw a big pizza party for them.

“As a gesture of good faith, our government is willing to order dozens of Little Caesar’s pizzas and several cases of President’s Choice brand sodas if CUPE ends their strike,” the premier announced alongside education minister Stephen Lecce.

After using the notwithstanding clause to make the strike illegal, Ford says offering at least two slices of pepperoni pizza to the union workers is his way of outstretching an olive branch to return to the renegotiation tables.

CUPE has countered Ford’s offer demanding he at least order meat lovers and provide them with a livable wage.
