Having Not Had A Day Off Since Taking Office In 2014, John Tory Also Walks Off The Job With Education Workers

City Hall - In a move that some are misinterpreting as a sign of solidarity with OPSEU and CUPE workers, recently re-elected three-term Toronto Mayor John Tory is reported to have walked off the job Friday morning.

“I’m just so gosh darn tired,” stated Tory, loosening his omni-present necktie while heading home for a well-deserved rest afternoon of day-drinking and Netflix. “I mean you’d think that with a third term would come some public understanding that even someone in my position needs a break every once and a while.”

When learning that he’d be taking over for the day, Deputy Mayor and five-term councillor Michael Thompson, who has been tirelessly serving constituents without fail since chairing the Scarborough Community Council in 2006, apparently pursed his lips and emitted an audible sigh.
