Doug Ford Urges Ontarians To Stay Home Unless They Really Don’t Feel Like It

Toronto - During his press conference today, Ontario premier Doug Ford announced the province would be going into its second state of emergency since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. He issued new stay-at-home orders and instructed all Ontarians to stay in their home unless they had a really, really good reason or just didn’t feel like staying inside anymore.
“Friends, we are at a critical point in this pandemic,” Ford told reporters, “And we are counting on everyone to do their part. We are asking all the people of Ontario to stay home and only leave their house if they need to shop at big box retailers, take their dog for it’s 22nd walk of the day, or if they can’t bare to be around their spouse for one minute longer.”
With cases projected to hit an estimated 6000 a day by the end of January, Ontario is heading into the peak of the pandemic. In response, the Ford government announced several new changes that didn’t actually change any of the laws already in place.
“We’re all in this together,” Ford continued, “We’re asking the people of Ontario to put in the same amount of effort as this government has been putting in to fight this pandemic. If we all do our part, and keep on the track we’re on, the projections look like we should be able to beat this virus in the next 5-33 years.”
