Following ServiceOntario’s Move To Staples, Province Will Now Allow Medical Imaging At Best Buy

By Steve Purificati

Queen’s Park - To speed up wait times in hospitals, the Ford government is now allowing Best Buy to operate private medical imaging on-site in their stores across the province. Health Minister Sylvia Jones states during an interview on Metro Morning that the move came as a way to relieve pressure on the public healthcare sector and to alleviate current wait times for these procedures. Jones says Geek Squad technicians have now been granted to use any in-store equipment for all non-invasive imaging procedures, and customers will be able to finance their procedure and receive 5% cash back if approved for a ‘My Best Buy’ credit card.
