Doug Ford To Avoid All Future Debates Until Better Public Health Measures Put In Place
Queen’s Park - With 2 of the 4 Ontario party leaders saying they are positive for Covid-19, Premier Doug Ford has stated he and his party will no longer be making public appearances until better public health measures are established.
After 22 PC candidates no-showed the last 34 riding debates, the party leader is citing a lack of safety when it comes to public health for his party member’s absence.
“It’s just not safe to be unmasked in these indoor setting so close to other people,” Ford says of provincial debates, “This Covid thing seems like bad news. I’m lucky to have escaped my last debate with only a slight cough.”
Ford has stated if elected his first act as Premier will be to investigate and punish those responsible for letting public health get so out of hand.
