Queens Park - After announces a $5 billion deficit to Ontario’s budget, Premier Doug Ford announced an addition two highways, along with a “staycation” tax credit that would pay Ontario residents up to $1000 if they just never go anywhere ever again.
Said the Premier: “Please don’t leave. There’s so much fun stuff to do in Ontario. We could uh… Oh come on guys, B.C. Isn’t That Great! Oh God no, where are you going? Come back!”
The credit will come into effect in 2022. Ford highlighted the many fun things you could do within Ontario, such as getting hammered in Niagara Falls and pretending for a brief moment you could afford Vegas, or seeing how long you could spend in Thunder Bay before you just walk off into the wilderness because you don’t see an end.
