Giant Ear Has Fallen Off The Giant Van Gogh Balloon
Toronto - Toronto’s immersive Van Gogh experience just became a little more realistic after the ear fell off the 91-foot hot air balloon depicting the artist’s face.
An investigation is being launched into how exactly this happened, but organizers of the experience aren’t complaining
“We never intended for this to happen, but wow did this work out for us. Like what are the chances of that? This is going to make the news in the states for sure. The real news! We’re really putting that government grant to use,” a representative from Lighthouse Immersive tells us.
Unfortunately, the lose of the ear caused a massive hole in the hot air balloon sending it plummeting back down to Toronto’s Harbourfront. The pilot was able to safely escape via parachute, but the balloon landed on top of 62 people doing outdoor yoga at Ontario Place, injuring 4.
The ear was last seen being repurposed as a flotation toy in the waters at Hanlan’s Point. Unfortunately it bumped into a group of otters who ripped it to shreds. The Harold has been unable to determine whether the group of otters was the animal or the people kind.
You can check out the immersive Van Gogh experience across the city all weekend long!
