Olivia Chow Renames Dundas Street To “Undas Street”, Asks Residents To Just Scratch Out The “D” On Their Nearest Sign

City Hall - Fulfilling her multi-million dollar promise to rename the controversial Dundas Street despite claiming the city is broke, Toronto mayor Olivia Chow has come to a solution that appeases everyone by officially renaming the street “Undas Street”.

“By simply removing first letter from the name, we are removing ourselves from the deeply problematic colonial past associated with this name, without having to replace tens of thousands of signs,” stated Mayor Chow, “All I ask is that if anyone currently living on the street could head down to the nearest street sign and scratch out the first letter that would be very helpful. A razor blade or even a very large key should do the trick.”

Chow also reminded residents to update their autocorrect on their phone to include Undas as a real word to ensure mail packages would still be delivered to the right spots.
