The Toronto Harold Stock Price Surges After Redditors Confuse Them For An Actual Satire Site
By Scott Slute
Toronto Stock Exchange - For the sixth time in the last for months, users on Reddit have begun sharing The Toronto Harold’s only mainstream successful post, this sloppily thrown together hack article about Karen’s.
The article was quickly shared around on the site, as well as making it’s rounds on Facebook and Tik Tok, with many shares captioning their post with “LOL so funny I love The Beaverton!”
“Omg this is hilarious, this must be an Onion article,” one Reddit user commented while the post was trending on r/Canada.
“Haha yes, we are very real and have lots of fans and get lots of clicks every day,” replied the Harold’s founder Scott Slute while he deposited a $12.57 cheque from the entirety of Google Ad money he made in 2020.
“I love writing for the Harold,” said one of their contributing writers, “It’s perfect because I can write whatever I want without having to worry about vance culture because no one reads it anyways!”
The Toronto Harold is currently for sale at an asking price of $1000 or a PS5.
