Online Activists Successfully Replace All Posts Depicting Police Brutality And Racial Injustice With A Black Square
By Scott Slute
The Internet - Over the last week, social media platforms have been filled with videos and pictures depicting atrocities committed against the black community. Now, as of this morning, those posts are gone after internet activist heroes all post the same black square from the comfort of their suburban homes.
In a glorious moment of coopting the #BlackLivesMatter hashtag to quell their white guilt, stay-at-home protestors have all posted a picture of a black square, replacing videos of police officers shooting rubber bullets point blank into the skulls of peaceful protesters which used to found under this hashtag.
This must mean that these horrible crimes police are committing against the people they swore to protect have stopped happening since middle-class white people can no longer see it from their iPhone 11. Victory!
“I’m so, so proud of the work we did today. I’ve been extremely passionate about this cause since Thursday,” white activist Tabitha Smith tells us.
“Just yesterday, it seemed like every third post on my Instagram timeline was a video of police driving trucks through crowds of peaceful protestors, or a picture of a militant white supremacist group roaming the streets armed with assault weapons. Now I only see black squares so all those things must have stopped happening!”
After accomplishing so much for the black community before 10am, most online activities are planning to spend the rest of their day further supporting the black community by watching a few episodes of Atlanta and listening to Meek Mill in their gated backyards.
