Toronto - A recent poll conducted over Instagram stories has found 100% of residents in the city now find the joke news website The Toronto Harold to be a more credible source of news than competitor the Toronto Sun.

The poll, conducted by The Harold,  found that even though the parody site referred to itself as “Toronto’s Least Trusted Source In News” it still somehow managed to run more believable stories than The Sun.

The Harold even went as far as to request personalized feedback from select readers on the topic and the results were also overwhelmingly in favour of them:

The news should come as no surprise to Sun Media. Distrust in the paper was reignited again this week after The Sun ran an article featuring completely fabricated Drake lyrics in order to fit their Regan-era narrative on rap music encouraging violence in the city.

Readers noted that the Harold would never, ever makeup fake quotes and simply leaves out key details from a quotation, or takes things out of context for comedic purposes

“Of course I trust The Toronto Harold,” said Toronto Mayor John Tory, “I start every morning by making a pot of French press coffee and reading The Harold while my wife checks my scalp for lice.”

But unfortunately for The Toronto Harold, the survey wasn’t all positive feedback.

Those surveyed did not consider The Harold to be the most comedic news source in the city, noting that the parody site can’t provide the same number of “laughs per article” as the Sun is able to.

Readers over the age of 60 were also disappointed that, unlike the Toronto Sun, The Toronto Harold did not include any objectified pictures of middle-aged women from Barrie posing in unflattering positions and dressed in outfits that haven’t been considered provocative or sexy since 1974.
