Federal Budget Includes One Pound Of Chicken Thighs For Every Canadian

Ottawa - The Liberal government has unveiled their 2023 budget that includes an emphasis on dental care, green energy, and combating food inflation by giving everyone in the country free chicken.

Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland said her government is committed to ensuring no Canadian faces food insecurity this year, which is why the Liberals are investing over $250 million into providing one pound of chicken thighs to every Canadian.

“With rising cost of groceries, many Canadians are facing a challenge providing food for themselves and their families,” stated Freeland, “As part of our 2023 budget, we will be providing every Canadian a one pound of vacuum sealed boneless, skin-on chicken thighs which can be eaten now, or stored in the freezer for up to six months.”

Federal employees will begin going door to door next week and leaving packages on the porches of Canadians. Those who don’t like chicken thighs are encouraged to just give them a shoot they can be pretty tasty if you cook them right.
