Washington - In an interview with Fox News, President Trump told Tucker Carlson that the reason America is experiencing so many wildfires is because they do more testing for wildfires than any other country.

In the interview, which aired Sunday, Trump made the claim that other countries were not testing for wildfires to the extent America was. “Wildfires are up because we do more testing for wildfires than any other country. Look at Brazil and Japan. They do hardly any wildfire tests and no one ever talks about their wildfires. If we want America’s wildfires to stop, we need to stop testing for wildfires!”

“But if we just stopped testing for wildfires, wouldn’t the wildfires along the west coast still continue to rage out of control without anyone doing anything about it?”  Carlson asked the President.

“I don’t know, sounds like a problem for ANTIFA,” retorted Trump.

Trump also stated at a campaign rally in Charlottesville three days later, that fighting the wildfires was unnecessary as it was only drawing more attention to them.

“These people, you know, they’re out there. They’re fighting these fires. But what’s that really doing? You know, they have this little hose, just a small, tiny hose. And it’s a big fire, huge fires, fires so big they look like Trump Fires,” he told a crowd on Wednesday evening, “But these little hoses can’t put out the big fires, we all know that. It’s just the Democrats trying to make Trump look bad!”

Trump also took to Twitter late last night to claim that the wildfires are nothing to worry about, and that the common cold kills more people each year.
