Ontario Hospitals To Replace All Nurses With An Alexa
Toronto - As hospitals continue struggling with staffing, forcing some ERs to close, the province stated that in lieu of healthcare professionals all patients will be given and Amazon Echo to assist them with any medical needs.
“It’s a very straightforward solution,” stated healthcare minister Sylvia Jones, “Instead of having an overworked nurse providing you care, simple say things like ‘Alexa, how do I change my catheter bag?’”
Patients will be required to purchase their Echo on arrival but can take it home with them to receive care from there.
The province is also advising those seeking medical treatment to diagnose themselves on WebMD, but unfortunately this has resulted in weeks long backup in the province’s cancer wards.
