Canadian Government Bans Everyone From Buying Homes

Ottawa - Following a ban on foreign homebuyers earlier this week, the Canadian Federal government has now passed a second law banning the sale of homes to everyone, including Canadians, to help make housing more affordable.
The surging house market has fuelled the concern of many Canadians, who feel buying a home is now an unattainable dream. The federal government says they hear the concerns and are stepping in to ensure no one can buy a house.
“If the average Canadian feels they can’t buy a home, then no one should be able to buy a home,” stated Minister of Housing Ahmed Hussen, “This housing market is a little out of control, so no more house buying until we figure this out.”
Prime Minister Trudeau says his plan will ensure that housing inflation is reduced to zero by the end of the year, and Canadians say they applause the bravery of the Liberal government for their firm action in controlling the housing market.
“It’s still pretty upsetting I’ll be stuck renting the rest of my life, but at least I can sleep easy knowing landlords and millionaires won’t be able to buy more homes,” says Montreal school teacher Tara LeFronte
The ban will come into affect on March 1, giving nearly two months for the country’s wealthiest residents to embezzle money in real estate.
