Canadian Mint Frantically Prepares To Update Coins

Ottawa - As news breaks of Queen Elizabeth II’s wavering health, the Royal Canadian Mint says they are hurriedly preparing to update all coins in circulation to display the face of heir-apparent Prince Charles.

“Quite frankly, no one actually expected this to ever happen and unfortunately we lack the resources to actually put his face on a coin,” said a spokesperson for the mint, “What’s worse, our team has lost the royal portrait originally provided so now we’re forced to google ‘Prince Charles looking nice’ to try and find anything worthy of putting on coins.”

The Royal Canadian Mint says for now they plan to just etch a bald patch into the queen’s bust on this years coins, and hopefully will be able to figure this out by the 2024 release.
